30 June 2011 - Now, the Toyota Vios range numbers six variants. UMW Toyota Motor has launched the 2011 Toyota Vios facelift and the Toyota Vios 1.5G Limited, an all-new variant positioned between the Vios 1.5G and TRD Sportivo variants. With almost 200,000 units snapped up by Malaysians since its introduction, 33,700 units of which were sold in 2010, the Vios is Malaysia’s best-selling non-national car.

26 June 2011 - Nissan and Mitsubishi announced the official establishment of a 50:50 joint venture related to their minicars sold in the Japanese market. The establishment of this joint venture builds upon an earlier agreement, signed in December of 2010, to expand the scope of cooperation between the two automakers.

15 June 2011 - The price of RON97 petrol will be reduced by 10 sen effective midnight tonight, to RM2.80 per litre. The chairman of the Petrol Dealers Association of Malaysia (PDAM), Datuk Hashim Othman, said the drop in the price of the fuel was in line with the current world market price.
