18 September 2010 - At a stop light. In the drive-thru. In your driveway. Stop-start technology turns off the engine whenever the vehicle is on and the driver's foot is on the brake. The merits of the technology are hard to ignore; fuel economy savings as high as 15 percent. But while stop-start has been widely adopted in Europe, here in the U.S. the only non-hybrid vehicle to feature the tech is the Porsche Panamera.
Bad attitude and selfishness causes of road accidents
17 September 2010 - According to Mufors (Malaysian Unite for Road Safety), it is the attitude of drivers which have been the main cause of accidents and fatalities on the road. Much of these are contributed by the selfishness and bad attitude of drivers as concluded in an online poll they conducted. The poll involved 1,500 respondents where 549 of them (36.6%) said that they felt it was the 2 main reasons for the high and rising rate of road accidents in the country.

14 September 2010 - PARIS: Smart and MINI are thinking of making electric scooters, and they have drawn up concepts that will be shown at the Paris Motor Show. Details are sketchy in the literal sense of the word. Both car makers have only offered sketches of their bikes at this stage.
Hyundai BlueOn, first Full Speed Electric Vehicle (FSEV)
13 September 2010 - Hyundai has just announced its first Electric Vehicle (EV), this also makes Hyundai to make the first EV from Korea that will be commercially available. Named Hyundai BlueOne, it is based on the Hyundai i10 hatchback. Hyundai unveiled the car at the Blue House today, in the presence of Korean President Lee Myung-Bak and Ministers from the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and Ministry of Environment.
Terrafugia flying cars will be on the sky in 2011
11 September 2010 - After several years in development, Terrafugia's "flying car" could be available for sale before the end of next year. Setting up shop in its new manufacturing plant in Woburn, Mass., Terrafugia is aiming for low-volume production of its "flying car," or Transition Roadable Aircraft, as early as late 2011, the company announced Wednesday.
Ford Focus Electric is Scheduled to be Launched Soon
10 September 2010 - The Ford Focus Electric is scheduled to be launched next year in the US and 2012 in Europe. The electrified Focus will be powered purely by batteries, which means it will never use a drop of gas and will produce zero emissions. Good-bye gas tank. Sayonara tailpipe. The litium-ion battery pack will showcase thermal management technology for the first time which will aid battery longevity, and provide a longer between-charge range.
2010 Used Car Safety Rating by Monash University
09 Septemeber 2010 - Monash University Accident Research Centre has released the 2010 Used Car Safety Rating list, providing ratings for 199 common used cars. The cars were rated through the analysis of over three million accidents that have occurred on public roads.
