12 April 2012 - The official distributor of Peugeot brand in Malaysia, Nasim Sdn Bhd, launched its largest service centre which is a new 2S facility in Balakong, Selangor to meet the area’s increasing demand for after sales services.
The 29,000 sq ft facility, which costs RM One Mil., is equipped with 12 service bays with the capacity of servicing 36 cars a day. The new Peugeot Balakong 2S centre will serve the more than 1,000 Peugeot customers residing in Balakong, South Cheras, Kajang, Semenyih, Seri Kembangan, Serdang and Bangi.
The centre will offer regular vehicle maintenance service, body and paint service, tyre service, wheel alignment and balancing services.
It will also offer its customers a shuttle service to and from the centre, the Serdang KTM Kommuter Station and Jusco Cheras Selatan.
Peugeot Balakong 2S will be our largest service centre until our new headquarters in Glenmarie is launched in the coming months. By the end of 2012, we will have expanded the number of Peugeot service bays in the country by 62%, said Nasim chief operating officer Datuk Samson Anand George at the official opening which was also attended by Naza Group’s Joint Group Executive Chairman SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin and Peugeot General Director for Asean Countries Lionel Faugeres.
With more Peugeot cars on the road, Samson said it was essential for Nasim to expand the number of after sales outlets in the country.
Peugeot Balakong 2S is part of Nasim’s nationwide expansion exercise which began last year where the company added dealerships in Malacca, Kota Bharu, Kota Kinabalu, Sungai Petani as well as a showroom in Balakong.
For this year, we will embark on the second phase of our network expansion exercise. Through this network expansion plan and new product offerings, we are targeting to sell 9,300 units, which will represent a 72% jump from 2011, Samson said, adding that three new Peugeot models would be launch in the remaining part of the year.
Samson also said all Peugeot cars sold from April 1 onwards would be offered with a five year and unlimited mileage warranty.
