Alonso wins, Red Bull on podium

TEAMCAR - Once again, Fernando Alonso effortlessly controlled the race, leading pretty much from his inherited P1 gridspot all the way to the flag - taking victory by a dominant 14.5 second margin over second-placed Juan Pablo Montoya.

It was certainly an eventful race. Alonso held his lead from the start from second-placed Mark Webber, while Kimi Raikkonen held his third place from team mate Montoya despite a determined attack from the Colombian.

Rubens Barrichello was the critical component in the race, the dividing point between the front runners and the rest of the pack.

While all this had been going on, Michael Schumacher had been having one of the most eventful races of his career. Having been relegated to the back of the pack after being adjudged guilty of deliberately stopping to truncate yesterday’s qualifying session he started the race with everything to prove - quickly moving up to 16th with some very forceful passing moves. There his progress stalled behind Jenson Button, who was suffering a miserable race in his off-the-pace Honda, but who clearly had no intention of letting the seven-times world champion past.He finish at 5th place, a very great drive from the Ferrari driver.

Starting from pole, Fuad, the younger brother of Zamani and Asian Grand Prix runner-up in 2005 for the supersports category, started perfectly before setting a blazing pace to finish the 15-lap race in 17 minutes 28.663 seconds around the 2.706-km Sepang Circuit's North Track.

M. Shumacher Start From Behind

TEAMCAR - FIA penalised Ferrari M. Schumacher for his unsporting behaviour and Schumacher will start from the last grid.

Ferrari duo domination of the front row might be usual but not this time while they both have to start from the last row.
