Davidson fastest in wet practice
teamcar - Anthony Davidson led the way this morning in the rain hit opening practice session of the Japanese Grand Prix weekend. With rain falling throughout the 60-minute session, the Honda test driver reeled off a string of laps, the best of which earned him the top spot on a 1:45.349s.As ever in Friday practice, it was the test drivers that completed the bulk of the running with most of the race drivers simply completing an installation lap and then pitting for good.
In the wet conditions it was Michelin runners to the fore once again with Davidson leading the way from Scott Speed in his Toro Rosso Cosworth while BMW Sauber rookie Sebastian Vettel was third fastest.
