Malaysia to host Round Four of A1 GP
TEAMCAR - Malaysia will host Round 4 of the 13-leg A1 Grand Prix, also known as the World Cup of Motorsport, at the Sepang International Circuit on Nov 26.The A1 GP, which is into its second edition, has seen an increase in the number of events from 11 to 13 this year with China playing host twice and New Zealand joining the fray as host of Round 6.
The races will be hosted in 12 countries in five continents making it a global event.
Meanwhile, Alex Yoong (pic), the principal driver for A1 Team Malaysia, said it was exciting to be racing in the second season of the A1 GP.
“The team is now busy preparing and it is good to know the venues of the races early so that we can plan our logistics for the race,” he said.
Last year, Malaysia finished fifth overall in the championship classification, 74 points behind France (172), Switzerland (121), Great Britain (97) and New Zealand (77).
