Bridgestone confirmed as F1 Sole Supplier

TEAMCAR - To no-one's surprise, the FIA announced Wednesday that Bridgestone has been designated the sole official tyre supplier to the 2008, 2009 and 2010 Formula One world championships.

Bridgestone will also be the only tyre supplier in the 2007 F1 season, as MICHELIN has already announced its withdrawal. Michelin did not agree with the FIA F1 plan to have a single tyre supplier, as it 'went against the spirit of competition in Formula One'.
