Unpaid summonses for PM

'THANK you for letting me know'.
That's what Malaysian Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said when he was informed of his unpaid parking summonses.
According to a report in The Star, the prime minister responded to an opposition Democratic Action Party (DAP) allegation that he has 11 unpaid traffic summonses ranging from speeding to illegal parking.
Datuk Abdullah said he was informed of the outstanding fines by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, and that he would settle the outstanding fines today, reported New Straits Times.
DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng also claimed that police had given the PM discounts worth 70 per cent on his 11 summonses.
