Higher new car sales in May seen
TEAMCAR - SALES of new cars in May are expected to be higher than April, suggesting that the toughest period for the automotive industry this year may be over.“Some people say the (sales) situation has improved slightly after four months. (The industry number for) May should be better than April,” Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) president Datuk Aishah Ahmah told Business Times in an interview.
A total of 40,482 vehicles were sold in April, compared with 42,762 units sold in the same month last year, and 45,831 units in March this year. (Business Times)
