Honda Malaysia Records Highest Monthly Sales In July

12 August 2010 - According to the 2010 CSI (Customer Service Index) Study, Honda Malaysia has been ranked number conducted by California-based global marketing information services company, J.D. Power and Associates. The study will use 5 factors, namely service quality, vehicle pick-up, service initiation, service advisor and service facility to examine the performance of the dealership and to measure the satisfaction of the new vehicle owner with the services provided after their purchase.

For records, Honda Malaysia annuocned that they achieved their highest ever sales for a month where they sold 4,586 units in July. Up until the end of July, they have rolled out 26,734 units of Honda cars. This is translated to 11% of growth based on the year-to-year figures.

In the CSI study, the Japanese car maker ranked at the top which included 10 other brands where they scored 736 points out of 1,000. They scored exceptionally well in the areas of vehicle pick-up, service quality and service initiation. According to Toru Takahashi, the chief executive officer and managing director of Honda Malaysia, since their Malaysian operations began back in 2001, the demand for Honda cars have been growing steadily each year.

He also applauded the efforts put in by dealers and associates of the company who are the key players in ensuring the customer satisfaction maintains and that they are the reason of the company’s success. Hence he expects the key people to continue to work towards maintaining the ‘Customer Satisfaction No.1 Policy’. Honda currently has 58 authorised distributors around the country where they are selling 9 models encompassing City, Civic, Civic Type R, Civic Hybrid, Accord, CR-V, Stream, Jazz, Odyssey and Freed.

The Honda City remains the best seller, followed by other CKD (completely knocked-down) models like the Civic, Accord and the face-lifted CR-V.
