Honda Operations affected by the Earthquake

13 March 2011 - Recently, there is a big problem that attacked the Honda Operations and this manufacturer as a whole. The automobile research center and automobiles parts manufacturers of Honda and Honda Operations gathered in Tochigi Factory. Honda Motor Co., announced the accident of Honda R&D associate.

More than 30 of Honda associates were injured in the Tochigi area for the collapsed ceiling that is affecting the whole activity in Honda Operations. There are other damages caused by the earthquake that scaled on 9 Richter, which is also affecting the Honda Operations activity. This is probably the most disastrous event ever happened to the car manufacturer, since the production activities might temporarily stopped.

The Honda Operations does stop for a while. Due to the strong earthquake, that stroke Japan recently, some plants is said to close from the nature disaster through Monday. However, only Honda Operations in Japan that is affected by the earthquake; it is reportedly not affecting the production in North America market. However, some car types that are producing only in Japan, such as Honda Fit, Insight, Acura TSX and RL, as well as CR-Z, might be temporarily stopped.
