BMW Malaysia has achieved an all-time high sales 2010

14 January 2010 - BMW Malaysia has achieved an all-time high sales performance for 2010, a year in which a record 4006 BMWs, 222 MINIs and 281 Motorrads were sold. The grand total of 4509 units easily surpasses the 3990 units (3564 BMWs, 201 MINIs and 225 Motorrads) sold in 2009.

In addition to the strong sales garnered by the BMW 3-Series and BMW 7-Series, BMW Malaysia attributes the stellar performance to the local launches of the all-new BMW 5-Series, the all-new BMW X1, the facelifted BMW X5, the facelifted MINI Cooper range and the BMW S1000RR superbike.

Also recognised as significant milestones in 2010 are the commencement of the local assembly of the 5-Series and X1 in Kulim, Kedah as well as the expansion of the local sales network with the opening of four new BMW dealerships (Kuala Lumpur, Kuantan, Butterworth and Johor Bahru), which increases the total number of dealerships to 15.

Going into 2011, BMW Malaysia reaffirms its commitment to being the Most Sustainable Car Company in the world, citing key business strategies including the introduction of BMW EfficientDynamics technologies across the entire local model range, and the launch of more BMW Advanced Diesel models to spur the wider adoption of diesel fuel in Malaysia.
