01 Disember 2010 - Motorists who are using RON97 for their cars will have to pay an extra 15 sen per liter beginning today – 1st of December 2010. But thankfully, it's only RON97 petrol that has increased in price - from RM2.15 per litre to RM2.30. A source said the increase was triggered by a rise in the crude oil price in the world market.
It was announced by the government on July 16 that the price of RON 97 will be subjected to a managed float to reflect the price of petrol in the global market. This is the second increase announced in a month as on Nov 1, the price of RON97 was increased by 5 sen and sold at RM2.15 per litre. RON95 and diesel remains the same price of RM1.85 per liter and RM1.75 per liter respectively.
